My son rolled his 4Runner while we were wheeling. It's supposed to be his daily driver. In order to fix it and further upgrade it, he decided he needs to sell his car. 1968 Pontiac Firebird 400 4 speed. No rust or dents, 10 year old repaint by PO, 120,000 on the odometer, perfect interior, runs absolutely perfect. 410 gears, traction bars, very fast. He's had it about a year, he left it at home while away at school, I've driven it every week or two to keep it running (tough job, but I sacrifice for my kids). The PO was meticulous about repairs and upgrades, he was a snap-on dealer and restored Ducati motorcycles. He replaced all bushings, front end parts, emblems etc. to get it nice. This car drives like new- all we have done to it is change the always synthetic oil and we had to replace the front brake calipers- yes, it has factory front discs. If you're looking for a muscle car driver, this would be it. It also handles alot better than most 43 year old cars, no body roll, very tight on the curves. He wants 12,000 and it includes all the paperwork and books from the PO as well as a car cover.

The PO who had it for 10 years and just maintained it. He put 4-5,000 on it in ten years. It has a march serpentine belt set up, an aluminum radiator with an accessory electric fan in addition to the flex fan. It stays at 170-180 in Va summers, unlike most big block F bodies. It has headers and dual exhaust, of course. The car has a lopey idle and feels very strong, but I know no particulars about the specs. This car according to the PO was originally a 6 cylinder auto, he bought it set up with the correct but non numbers matching Pontiac 400 and Muncie 4 speed. He also bought the 400 hood and chrome accents for the grille to make it a proper 400 clone. It is an awesome driver, and not too valuable to actually use it, which is what my son was looking for.
