1967: THE most unique, and therefore most desirable, year of the VW Beetle. What could be better? A convertible! This VW has been professionally maintained by a local VW specialist and garage kept since I purchased it in 1999, and driven for pleasure and to car shows in South Carolina, Georgia and Florida. Not a Concours level trailer queen, this car is meant to be driven and enjoyed (Hagerty scale Good to Excellent) and gets attention everywhere it goes. It has been selected twice for the judges' parade in Hilton Head Island Concours' Saturday Car Club events, most recently in 2016, so while it has a few small paint chips and small bubbles on the rear apron it shows very well for 51 years old. 1600 cc engine. Solid undercarriage, nice interior and the top is in very good condition. Nearly new tires. Rear brakes recently overhauled. Runs and stops great. VW "birth certificate" from the Stiftung AutoMuseum in Wolfsburg, Germany, and 18 years of maintenance records. Nothing for you to do but drive it and love it. Disclosure: the year-correct Sapphire V AM radio and the reverse lights do not work. Everything else is AOK.
