1963 fj40 side apron size compared to a 77 fj40 apron

I am rebuilding my 63 fj45 and cant seem to find my 63 side aprons. Can any 1 tell me if the later landcruiser aprons (ie a 77 set) will fit ok?

I also dont like the 63 front windshield set up as the wipers come from the top. Can I use a entire 77 windshield set up instead of the 63?

Probably not a direct bolt on for the apron. They should be the same size. On the windshield the 63 has a vent in the bottom you would be lossing. The 77 cruiser used the top part of the heater to get air in the center of the vehicle so that would be gone. Windshield hold up is different. The defrost is totally different. On the 63 the defrost duct is one piece from the cowl to the vent. The top of the windshield is a little narrower and won't mate up to the top correctly. It can always be done. 63 should have a non-removable top. Other wise you would have to make sure you got the later style windshield hinges so the wiper motor cover didn't hit the cowl.

in addition, you have to change the windshield rest bracket on the hood to the later style...the earlier styles don't meet up right.
