17" Sequoia wheels

I am bidding on a set of 17" Sequoia wheels on e-bay. I know the bolt-pattern is the same but was a little unsure of the offset difference. Is anyone running these rims? The reason I would like them is I think they are sweet looking in the hyper-silver color and we take off 315/75/17 BFG AT's off of H2's all the time. Thanks for the info!

Offset is off by about one inch. You'll want 1-1.5" spacers to go with your new wheels.

I agree, they do look nice. I like the bronze colors better though.

Thanks Doc. Do you have to run the spacers or will it just have that staggered look to it?

without the spacers the wheels are tucked in and look like a range rover in stock trim.. they make the 80 feel very tippy and not very stable.. you can get the spacers from marlincrawler for about $80 (billet aluminium)

I'm pretty sure it's more than that the wheels will be tucked in too much...

you'll snag something on the rear wheels...probably the brake caliper.

I have 1.25" spacers that are ready to install once I get the 17s...or...maybe this summer to give me a slightly wider stance for the next rubicon trip...

did you just say my cruiser looks like a rover beatings to you!

they fit fine and dont show any interferance. b/c they do sit inboard a bit they will rub the inner fender well when stuffed before reaching the travel limits. i spent all my pennies on that darn rubber so im waiting to recoup before ordering the spacers. 79-99 a set (2) so you need two sets, need to be lugcentric as well. oh and tommy i looked forever for some h2 takeoffs both at dealers and on 3-bay w/ no luck, seems that fad has passed here. but i got the hypersilvers w/ those tires so if you want to find a set of the darker gray ( avail on seqoia instead of the tundra) and mount up some wheels i'll trade ya!!!!!!

from head on or behind you can see the narrower stance , accentuated in comparison cause concretes rig is flareless. i measure exactly 1.5 inches from sidewall to the edge of flare.

I put those exact rims on my cruiser on 285/70/17 tires. They fit and it soes not feel tipsy. Here is a link to the thread with pics of it.
