has anyone tried to fit these style wheels on a ifs 1st gen 4runner?

just wanted to know if they are going to require spacers?

and if so what size they needed to be?

suggestions on where the best ones to buy.

all donations of opinions and info are graciously accepted..........

where i am not sure!

seriously has anyone attempted this?

guess i will know the real deal next week when they arrive.

i will post pics.

i found some info on them on the fjcruiser forum. they are saying 4.5" of back space.

not sure if this is true?

and i found that an fj80\fzj80 can accept the wheels without spacers.

i know the runner can accept either the fj80\fzj80 wheels no prob.

i did not get any help from the local toyota stealership yet.

found some local for a great price and i just want to run them in town on pavement light offroad with an at tire.

parks an otherwise will be left to the tundra steelies with an mt.

They will fit, but due to the backspace will narrow the track, so you may want spacers. My mini is rolling on Tundra rims that are the same size/backspace, if I planed to keep them would want ~1" spacer.

i was really wanting to avoid the spacers.

i have seen some bad accidents and rollovers b/c of them failing mostly on larger heavier trucks especially lc's

i have tundra steelies so the overall track would be very similar.

thanks for the info.

i am putting some 20" wheels on my pimp ride. it looks so fat, you.

piss off wristy!

i have read some of you feed back in other threads and i completely understand your sarcasm.

and i am not taking offense to it.

i just happen to find these local and wanted to see if thay would be worth putting on the runner.

b/c i am one of the few that knows the origins of that skull painted on the back of your truck.

and it ain't b/c i saw it on a t shirt that lil wayne was wearing!

they do look good but the tires do leave a little to be desired.:meh:

bigger meats.

They are a spare set for the LX450, when they get moved over the 37" tires will be installed. The "problem" with some of the later rims is the flat face, if their wheeled the rim faces get torn up quickly from rubbing on rock, etc. The Tundras on mine already have a bunch of rock rash (that's why I have the spares), a some of the local FJC owners have already replaced their rims for this reason.

My mini is a very straight copy, so will be staying relatively stock, the stock rims will be going back on, probably with some A/T's. Those are the stock Tundra tires that were on the cheap Craig's list rims, so using them up.:hillbilly:

day-ummm:eek:

thank you for posting pics. is there any lift to accommodate the new rims/ tires?

edit: I gotcha. do you think the red one has a lift on it?

i have 2.5" rear springs and crank ola on the torsions. 1" body.

the tires are 265 75 r17 bridgestone dueler ht's they measure right at 32" and they are about half way through their tread life.

i was runnin 285 75 r16 yokohamas and they measure a hair over 33" on tundra steelies.

the weight savings was what i was after for daily drivin.

old set up 88lbs a corner
new set up 50lbs a corner

drives totally different.

i don't have ant specs on the red runner.

someone just pm'd the pic to me.
