Hi guys,

I know this has been beaten to death , but I need help
I've decided to try and do this wiring thing myself , teach myself and all
I'm having trouble wiring my 12HT up , Cruiser runs a 13BT loom , and as I understand it the 13BT/12HT run the same vaccum shutdown ( here was hoping for an almost plug and play 2min job.....)

I've got the preheat sussed but having come to the shutdown part , I can't seem to find where the wires for the VSV Valve plug go to?

I can't find anything on the loom , and have checked a full spare loom I have from another 70 and can't find any plug/wires etc on that either where it would come from? On the 60 series looms the wires for the plug come straight out the loom ( on DS) but on both my 13BT looms I can't find those wires on the drivers or passenger side?

Would greatly help if you guys could comment with 13BTs where the wires for that valve come from , I've included a pic of the VSV plug I'm on about , hopefully you can see what I mean. Where do the wires off this plug lead? into the loom? Is it possibly off the part of the loom after the plug that attaches the main loom to the gearbox loom? This would explain alot if it does....

Cheers

The wires from the VSV go into the loom on the 74. The VSV is powered to 24v when the key is in the run position. You can find a similar power source in the terminal block.

I suggest mounting the VSV on the firewall not on the engine block. It tends to fail in the OEM location.

Thanks for that info John.
Unfortunately I've the opened up the loom right back to the firewall and no sign of any wires that have been cut etc , all plugs are used too. Guess this'l mean more work....
