So I recently picked up a new to me 2014 and I have been wondering if there is a way to disable the high-beams as DRL's while keeping the LED strips active. Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated

Yes. Disable the DRL’s in the options settings on the main touchscreen unit. And then turn the knob on one click for the lights. All your running lights will be as well as the LED strips. Just have to remember to turn on the headlights when dark or low light conditions being the automatic light feature is not used anymore.
