Where are you wanting to locate the outlet?

What the best/ easiest way to get 12vc for usb always on
Thanks

Depending on location and whether you have a second battery... there are option.

To run off of a second battery...you can easily run both Pos + Neg wires rearward through the firewall rubber between the passenger-side, rear-facing part of the engine bay...remove the lower plastic under and next to the glove box for access...and back from there.

If you just want 24/7 power from the main battery, just run a single Positive wire from the battery’s positive...(add a fuse near the battery)...and then find one of many meh-ground screws under various panels near your USB install point.

I have USNs literally all over my truck and it’s super convenient.

Also consider the option of a manual on/off switch to it if it’s a long-term draw concern. For my switched USBs I use a little panel from Blue Sea...but you can piece together any number of simple switches if you prefer.

Here is one set up into a second row door...but could be left much simpler than this:

You can go nuts...or keep it minimal.
I have a ton of small devices to charge and keep ready, but USB charging is so efficient, it really works out well for my use...

just looking for one in the rear, maybe in my Dobbins drawer to charge my gopro batteries, noco ,
when the truck is off and i'm in class. the batteries can charge without the key on. is there any open fuses
under the hood or dash? or just start at the battery(1).
what is the holster device that holds all the equipment? 10 or 12 gauge?
thanks

To keep it simple...you can even just add a regular automobile type fuse in the positive line from the battery. An easy-access spot is cutting a socket-size hole in the rear panel below the rear pillar, or even easier...cut a hole in the access door to the stock jack. Then just run a short USB extension up and out next to your drawers.

I ran a large gauge wire, some scraps from the local HAM shop had left over from installs, from the battery to a Blue Sea 6 terminal block.

From there, I split it off to a Blue Sea DC panel, that is surface-mounted to drawer wing kit.

Many ways to do this as shown already.

Here's my take. Includes protection from over-discharging and compromising the battery -
