Hey guysIs it possible to put a 12HT into a 70 series? Reason I ask is I'm looking at buying a 60 series and put the 12HT into my SWB 70 Cruiser , has the same gearbox/transferscase so that stuff will bolt in. Its the engine thats got me thinking with the narrower 70 series chassis?Anyone done this? any troubles to be aware of ?Cheers all!

You will need to use the gearbox that came with the 12HT.Looking forward to see it.

Cheers guys for the replies

Brought the 60 this evening , picking up next sunday

Will show some photos of the build once its underway

<p>Fully do able. I have seen another one on an AU forum.
That is one seriously wicked Cruiser

Did this conversion few years back, only one problem tho, the motor would cut out if you started to climb a bank then took your foot off the gas pedel. Did some googleing and they say you need an electric fuel pump fitted between the tank and the motor, the injector pump needs a good line pressure to it all of the time.

Why not just fix the problem which is most likely an air leak or bad feed pump?.The other thing that could be is the springs on the flyweights.
I climbed some huge sand hills in mine, never even looked like stopping.

My HJ75 received a 12HT about 6 years ago and I've never looked back. Was a simple bolt in conversion, few early teething issues were the dual tanks on a troopy but other than that very straight forward.
