So I installed the remote starter with the app module on my 13 LX and I'm very impressed. I had the factory remote starter it's good but it's "factory" but in order to install the 12 volt starter I had disable the factory starter ( it was pain in a$$)

Through the app, you can lock/unlock, start it/cancel start, open/close the half tailgate (automatic tailgate), track it if it gets stolen, battery voltage, outside temperature.

The truck shuts off when you open the door when it's running. ( Toyota safety security )

Is it worth it ? Yes it is specifically during the winter. It's nice warming the truck before you leave to or from work.

Looks like it's got some nice features. Have a link to where you purchased the kit and install docs for a LX/LC?

Last day today for the sale. They give you the installation instructions after you buy from them.

So what was the problem disabling the OEM remote starter, and what speficially didn't you like about it?

I had no issue with the factory starter, for the 12 volt solution to work, I had to disconnect it from all ecu's, I got this really because of the app. I wanna start it before I leave work in like 10-15 mins.

How does the app connect to the truck? WiFi, cell?
I believe it's via a 4g network. It's got good coverage overall, but my app isn't as glamorous as @Chucky313 's comparatively.

Does it mean you have to buy a cell plan? Or do you have to buy a subscription from them?
they sell 1/3 year subscriptions I believe. The annual plan is around $100 iirc. I can't remember for sure. "carlink" is the app you use. 12V solutions just supplies the hardware.
