Ok so I am experiencing a weird problem here. 98 landcruiser and the temp gauge is always sitting at hot. When I press the gas it goes down. I know it’s not over heating for sure. To prove that it even does it in ready mode, I press the gas and it bounces down and up. Looking forward to your feedback

If it reads hot even on a dead cold engine with the key in the on position it's got to be electrical. You'll have to do the troubleshooting chart for the temp gauge from the manual. If it get's hot shortly after starting and then drops with higher RPM you've likely got an air pocket and it's catching hotter steam near the sender. Revving the engine pushes the air pocket away from the sender. Or you could have a slow head gasket leak pushing pockets of exhaust gas in to the cooling system.
