From the last one I did with new cats I didn't notice much of a sound difference at all. It might have been a bit quieter than the old piping I removed.

I will say I noticed better power when I installed my DT Cat back.

Example: I could not gain speed going up Teton pass > Installed DT Cat back> I could gain speed going up the pass.
