Hi all,

I have been having a bit of a saga with my 100 series as of recent. For the past month or so my ABS light would turn on intermittently and at slow speeds the traction control would kick in when backing out of my driveway. I found that the right front wheel speed sensor cable was slightly damaged so I have ordered a new one.
I took it to get an alignment after some suspension work and it appears that the cable is now completely cut. ABS light is permanently on but it seems to brake fine. I have looked around and I know that the having a faulty sensor can trigger some dangerous driving behavior- but have not seen anything about one being completely cut/removed.

How bad of an idea is it to drive this vehicle until I can tackle replacing the wheel speed sensor? I am supposed to drive ~800 miles this weekend. Will be able to repair once at summer destination.

Mine was cut for over a year due to the sensor being rusted in place. It required removing the rotor and banging it out from that side. Had no issues with driving over that period of time.

Its very simple to replace and fairly cheap if you're concerned. Don't even have to remove the wheel if you're flexible. I think there is one 10mm holding the sensor in place, remove that bolt and pull sensor out. Follow the wire up and into the engine bay, disconnect there and re-install.
