100 series alloy surface peeling

Dropped my spare from underneath my 2006 100 series this evening. Noticed there are patches (2 to 3 inches) in a few places where it looks like the surface is pulling away from the alloy. Anyone know what causes this and how to correct it? Are these factory alloys just powder coated and is it as simple as having it redone?

It is just painted and with the harshness of being under the truck it will happen. Nothing structurally wrong with wheel.
