Background: Car is super clean, zero rust vehicle only driven in desert southwest, always garaged, 130k mi, 6months old new high quality battery fully charged both on and off the vehicle. No mods, all stock other than suspension/wheel/tire swap ~7 months ago. Up to this point it has started & operated perfectly every time it was driven. All pos/neg cables are in good condition and contacts/posts have been cleaned. It is always garaged and has been sitting in my garage for last 2 months without being driven. No water intrusion possible.
Experience: I get in the car and it doesn't start, doesn't turn over, fully dead, no lights, etc. I assume battery is dead so I hookup a good charger overnight. I do note that there is some greenish powder on the battery posts but not extensive. The next day after charging I attempt to start vehicle. There is no noise whatsoever when I try to start. Checking electronics, there is a slight flicker of the dash lights and i get the headlights to go on briefly but no start, no ignition, no noise, no clicking, etc. All dead. I remove battery, clean all contacts, cables look like new, ground looks good but I unscrewed it and cleaned it. etc. I am thinking it must be a fuse or something fundamental because a problem with the starter would likely not result in 100% electrical failure. Is there a common electrical culprit with 470? I've checked a few threads on this site and nothing seems relevant, though maybe I missed it? Thanks in advance for any solution/advice.
