Does anyone happen to know if the “slats” between the fog lights and the license plate area are removable in a 2006 LX?

I was looking around the backside for clips or screws but it appears to be molded into the bumper. Trying to see if they are replaceable if I decide to cut them out.

From the pictures I see online they don’t appear to be separate components, but wanted to double check with the group.

For reference:

Yup those slats/grille is thermo welded in the bumper itself. You can remove it by grinding the seem line length. Curious to know if you planning to utilize the area for lights?

Yes, been kicking around the idea of putting in some 2” or 3” square lights next to the fogs.

Was also exploring the idea of “swapping” out that section of the bumper with the version that holds the round night vision sensors, then fitting round lights into the cutout (hence the original question). Looking closer though, it appears that it’s literally just a shorter slat to fit the sensor/housing.

Just looking for a way to revert to oem before deciding to modify anything.

Recently saw this photo on a ben3dbuild post with small lights in that area look clean.

That’s a good solution if you want to upgrade your lighting. Several years back we don’t have this option yet so I had no choice but to “cut” mine and situate my SS3 spot light on the aluminum crash bar behind the bumper. Would you know if Ben’s pod light housing allows vertical light aiming? If so that’s great then. This approach I did allowed me to raise/lower the aiming and to my liking and is only used offroad or if I’m the only vehicle on the road as the light is very bright and causes blinding.

Nice! That’s pretty much exactly what I was looking to do.

Did you drill a hole into the crash bar obtuse done kind of adhesive?

The lights are roughly 4lbs+ and to account the constant vibrations it will take. I don’t know adhesive that will work on tjis application, so yes I drilled a hole on the aluminum crash bar.

Pardon me for hijacking this thread, but anyone know the part number for item #11? Thanks in advance :)
