My Mom has an 01 yukon with 75k miles the shop said she needs new idler arm bracket, idler arm, and pitman arm all done for 700 bills this car has been taken car of i dont even get to hot rod it any way how long do these items last? I cant believe they are ready to go already is gmc this cheap?
ps rig drives well doesnt pull or anything

Don't think you would need an idler arm bracket? Never even heard of such a thing. But idler/pitman arms are very common problems on gmc Chevy trucks/SUVs. $700 seems a little steep as well. If you want to see the play leave the truck on the ground and have someone turn the wheel from 10 to 2 rapidly over and over. Trying not to have the tires move. If there's play it will be easy to notice.
