Good morning,

I performed an oil service and EGR delete (Tillix) last week and have since put on about 350 miles. Last night, the CEL came on with no change to drivability. As this isn't equipped with OBD2, I have no idea what's going on. Thoughts?

I just deleted my EGR valve and the CEL comes on now and then, mostly when the car is cold. I have checked and it is a MAP sensor error but have not diagnosed it yet.

Even our cars do not have OBD2 it is still possible to diagnose them. You can get Toyota Techstream installed in an old laptop and buy an Amazon cable (see the thread in the 100 series forums as to how to do it. Not easy but doable), or even better check out Land Cuiser Scotland's video and get yourself a Kingbolen diag tool for vey cheap.

I have both and they are definitely a great help with our cars.

computer is responsible for making sure the EGR is working good
