ok, i think i have the door thing figuered out. next question, what year did they add the hump to the hood for the new engine?

This is a great site for specs on old Cruisers.

Looks like they put the F in '68 to '74 models the switched to the 2F in '75 to '79 models. So theyo would have switched the hood designes at the same time.
