how do you find out the production date?

What is the VIN?
 
this is the only tag on the truck. it's under the hood on the firewall on passenger side.

ok, i've figured this much out.

f f-series engine
j j-series toyota
45 model landcruiser
l lefthand drive
v hardtop
k 4 spd
c swingout amby doors
416 dune beige color
lk11 ???????????
h41 transmission
ko82 4.11 ring and pinion

anybody know what the lk11 means??

now that i look at it, it seems to be LKII. it's not the same as the other number ones. looks more like the letter I.

is it possible to find the production date from the serial number? cuz i got nothin else.
 
I have reason to believe the "true vin" is FJ45-23709. There were never any 6 digit frame numbers. It looks as though the 1 may have been added later, I have no idea why.

FJ45-23709 was manufacured in June of 1965.

LK11 is the interior trim code.

EDIT:

I just saw the other thread with a photo of the truck. The long vin could be valid. I wrongly assumed that you had an earlier vehicle that was an original US import. I can not help you with vins from vehicles that came from overseas.

Here's a pic of my vin, looks like yours got painted over. Mine is an 82 so looks like yours is older than that.
