welcome, nice cruiser you got there. looks like theres very very little rust on it, how much if you dont mind me asking? does anyone know what are those rear tailights above the bumper?

Very Nice! Perfect candidate for a Restoration. I think the sheet metal is too nice for an hard core trail rig. Wish Mine looked that clean!

flib the bezel around.........the right way :D

nice 40 for sure, congrats :)

He probably doesn't know yet for sure, being a new owner and all. Looks nice Leto. My advice is to just drive it and not put any money into it that isn't absolutely necessary-not that any of us are that sensible. The bezel is the sausage shaped doodad encircling the headlights-and he's just kidding. :)

Near the armpit of the New South, Atlanta.

The first thing I want to do is take the top off to enjoy the spring/summer/early fall weather. But, what do you put across the lower body where the ambulance doors were? Also, are all bikini tops essentially the same, or is one better than the others?

All kinds of options for filling in the rear with the ambys gone. Here's what I plan to do tailgate panel

But you can also modify swing out half doors and fold down tailgates from earlier models if you want to go to the trouble of having an opening back.

Can't say but I would just hold out and watch the parts for sale section here on MUD or watch eBay for one. They're everywhere and you don't need to pay $100 for the set-up (I'm putting one together in great shape/some new stuff for less than $50).

 B

I bought a set of half doors so my barely used panel will be up for sale. I haven't put up yet but if you're interested let me know.

Herky -- I tried to PM you about the panel, but your mailbox is full. I'm in the market for one--let me know the details.

There are a bunch of us in Atlanta, check out www.georgiacruisers.org, stop by for a meeting sometime.

Shoot me a PM if ya ever want any help with anything. I'm off 75 10 min south of 285.

I have one of the SOR tops with a sunroof. It is a well-made top and I like the fabric more than that shiny black vinyl, but the sunroof part blows. Leaks badly.

Another thing to consider is that if you plan on buying a soft top, you want your softtop windshield channel and bikini top channel to interchange.

Sorry to futher hijack the thread -

Herky, I'd be interested in the details, too, once you want to sell that tailgate panel.
