here are my new reupholstered seats. they are the orginal toyota seats. done in a high grade vinyl. I had seat heaters installed. the console fabbed. and lumbars put in. wasn't cheap but very comfortable. they also added foam here and there for a little different shape. I wanted some bolstering. so they have a snug feel. This is a vehicle I wanted to keep for a long time and the old seats were rough. I picked vinyl due to good wear properties and mud will wipe off. as well as food from little ones. the company i used was Cutting Edge Upholstry in Calgary. I recommend them 100%. They were great. I really like the console they made for me. for a bit cheaper than gettiing a tuffy to Canada.

Nice lookin' seats dude....photos taken inside a hanger??

Nice seats, BB. Where are the cup holders? ;-)

M

cup holders will be added soon. I am using a clip on one on the windows right now.

yes I am in a hangar, it is my shop for now.

The seats were a custom made thing, so I don't think they could make up a kit.

ya they are quite comfy.

Do you still have any of the original fabric? Rear seat back maybe? If so I wouldn't mind dibs on it to fix mine.

Cruiser Guy- I have two heavily stained OEM grey stripe seats that will be thrown out in the trash in the spring, what do you need?

Bear- those look awesome! Really like the center console too. I'd need the cupholders back though.

what?, no map pockets?.....

nice job -- rebuilding factory seats is a gratifying way to go ;)

oh ya when they built them I also had adjustable lumbar installed. has a dial on the outside. I thought of going with replacement seats but had hard time finding good ones out of a wreak. Maybe I didn't know where to look. I also had headrests installed in the rear.

Hey BB, did you have the head liner redone too? Why didnt you have the doors done with that same material? That would have looked nice.

How about the cost? You cam PM me if you dont want to post it.

Darryl, also an AME. ha small world eh?

GOD........I miss those twins.....some of the best a/c I have ever worked on.....the 4x4 of aircraft is what I called them....did some contract work in Inuvik....all I can say is glad it was not a permanent position as I found Inuvik very depressing .
What material did you use for your seats ?
See ya , Daryl

the material is a vinyl. called softside, its made by Spradling. but I don't know anymore of that.

ya inuvik isn't for everyone. I only did a month. worked 300hrs. glad to leave. spent a lot of it outside wrenching in -40. good thing the herman worked. lol
