Details of the product and all the fun tech stuff
(please make sure you scroll down, it has come a long way since the thread started, the current rough version can be seen at the bottom of the first page and some of the production units can be seen a few pages in)

Installation instructions

What everyone has been waiting for: price, $290 with now standard plastic lid and powder coated finish.
Shipping is now a flat rate of $30 within the lower 48

And the infamous list that every one has been wondering about:

The wait list is gone, I'm working in real time on the 60 lids now, thanks to everyone for the patience and support. :p

Details of the sale:
I do not want to take advance payment. The next name on the list will get first right of refusal for each unit.

The first unit is up for grabs, does not include tailgate :flipoff2: installation hardware included, tools are not, anybody who wants help cutting a hole in their tailgate is welcome to swing by.

I will be waiting patiently for my name to pop up. But I will also be checking this thread every four minutes to make sure I don't miss out ;-).

So it comes with the fram and the door as seen in the pics or is the interior "box" included?

The tech thread chronicles the evolution of my personal design, it has gone through a lot of changes over the last year.
If you look at page four, the photographs show the current design, the rest of the thread shows and explains how I got there.
So, no "box" anymore, I found it to be too impractical for a variety of reasons. A great deal more usable space is gained by having access to the entire inside of the tailgate. I do suggest covering the interior of the tailgate with some reflective sound deadener to brighten it up and keep things clean.

I would want to be the next on the 80's series list please. This is terrific.
:cheers::cheers::cheers:

For all the people asking, PMing and emailing about an 80 series model, I do plan to pursue that route but still need to find and dismantle an 80 series tailgate to see if it is feasible.
First things first, need to get these orders taken care of, but I am trying to procure a junk 80 tailgate to play with.

Now settle down and wait your turn! :flipoff2:

Sweet lookin product... can I be added to the list of people?

TIA
