I am selling this 1976 Toyota FJ40 which I purchased a while back which is a bit of a project. If you have been looking for a FJ40 to build this would be a real solid start. This FJ40 will currently run with the choke pulled out and needs a carb rebuild to run properly. This is a 76 so it has front disc brakes which do work by the way. It has a what I consider a real solid frame. The areas that can be usually rusted on these are real good. It is also solid around the rear end and spring hangers. The majority of the work on this vehicle will be the rear quarter panels and ambulance doors. As you can probably see in the pictures the prior owner had started to sand down areas and had actually cut out some areas on the rear and doors. I have these pieces also and they need to be sanded down and rewelded. I also have the front grill. There is no front bumper and the tires are dry-rotted. I really like the TOYOTA LOGO on the hard-top sides. This is not a perfect 40 but with some sanding, priming, body work and painting, I think it would be a project that could be done. I haven't been able to drive it around due to the carburetor but the prior owner stated he was using it around the farm before I bought it. Also the drivers and passenger doors are real good and not rotted out like others. I'm selling this 40 because I already have a 74 model and I'm about to build a shop and I need the funds.

Asking $1950, which I think is a reasonable price but I'm open to offers. Email for more pictures. I'm about 100 miles south of Atlanta, Ga.

You have a PM.

I thought I would add that I DO NOT have a title. Georgia does not require a title on a vehicle of this age. It will be sold with a Bill of Sale.

Thanks

Got any more pics of the rust on the interier floorboards, etc?

Here is a picture of the driver's side floor. Other than this the real sill has the typical rust. The frame is real good.

The only trade I'd be interested in would be a 55, but thanks for asking.

I sanded an primed the left rear quarter panel with self-etching primer this weekend. I'll consider a cash/trade combination also.

$1500 ROCK bottom, I need to buy some concrete. If I can't get $1500, I'll just keep it for later. This cruiser has a LOT of potential!!

One cap is just an extra and that was the best place to put it. It does not go with the 40.
