Has anyone thought about Marine board (ploymor board) for the rear side panels in the cargo area?

I am toying with the idea. I think that I can get the material for about $50 - 60 and then cut it with a saw.

Do you think that 1/4 will be thick enough?

Thanks for your help

I'm not sure if the marine board is the same as ABS, but I completely replaced all my panels with black ABS and the stuff is great. Tuff and easy to clean. I have a couple pictures on my "Almost Done Pix" posting.....couldn't figure out how to attach the link.

Looks clean. What's on the floor of the cargo area?

Makes the interior look a little 55ish. Is that a Tuffy console?

That's an old bed mat from a truck I had. I cut it to fit and it helps keep things from sliding around.

The console is from CCOT.....spend the extra money and get a Tuffy.

There is a product out there called star light is is similar to star board but less expensive and easy to work with I have bought it from wholesale plastics places. hope this helps

Here are some shots of what I did this weekend. The flash on the camera seems to make the carpet way lighter than the carpet on the floor, but it looks pretty close in normal light. The carpet is Lowes indoor/outdoor grey carpet. I fastened the new panel down with stainless steel bolt ans speed nuts in the original holes. The material is 1/4" tempered hardboard which is super strong as tough so it seemes to be appropriate. I can tell you that the 20 dollar speakers I had back actually sounds really nice, with the added output of the speakers I think I am going to add some damplifier in the rear area.

man that looks great. I need to do taht to mine a.s.a.p what did you do with the jack and tool kit location did you move it or just git rid of it? And did you use the original snap fasteners? Thanks

As far as the old bedliner from the truck in the bottom of Brtklr's ride you can buy it at the local farm and ranch store. They usually have it on a big roll and you can buy as much or as little as you want. I think I"m going to get some for mine. And I'm seriously thinking about the ABS, but don't know of anyone local that would be carrying it.
