I was wondering if anyone has some info on this Ramsey rear Pto
setup. Was it a dealer installed option? Is anyone runing one?

Has anyone modified one to work on a Fj-45?

Thanks.

i doubt it was a dealer install option since toyota had it's own PTO winch. i have one of those ramsey winches if anybody wants one.....

For those who are interested and are TRUE phenatics for Land Cruisers AND have all sorts of Land Cruiser paraphernalia at home, you should actually check out the original phamphlets for FJ-40 and FJ-45 series, because the dealer does have a Ramsey PTO "dealer installed" option. They also have the options for Toyota PTO and electric winch as well!

i have a fairly substancial collection of early cruiser literature and don't recall seeing that but maybe when i get a chance to look, i'll check it out.

i've got one on my 45, but it's not rear mounted....and the shaft is snapped

Earl Warden had a PTO off the rear of one of his 428 pontiac FJ40's---"if you get stuck going foward. It will pull back out" John Pardi

It is located on the East Coast. Would anyone be interested

Maybe Landpimp might be able to help, on the lights?

Looks like the same ramsey PTO sold for the front of a Cruiser. I've got one of these entire systems on the shelf. Mounting it in back is no big deal.

Personally I would use a Toyota PTO drive for any PTO winch, front or rear. Once you compared the two (Ramsey and Toyota) the Ramsey PTO drive is pretty darn klunky.

Mark...

Speaking of winches. Mine came with a Dealer installed electric Warn winch with Japanese/English writing that came with my 79 fj40. Post a pic of the liteture you are looking at if you don't mine.
