hi all!
i've been workingon getting some raffle prizes together. so far i have gotten word from kurt @ cruiseroutfitters, fj40charles, greenfox and a few others with donations to the raffle. thanks a bunch guys!!!!
i've also started to send out some emails to other cruiser parts vendors and shops to generate more raffle itmes. of course i will be donating some stuff as well, both personally and from my own venture into business ownership; valley hybrids.
if anybody out there is willing to donate some prizes, we would sure appreciate it. in the past we've had enough prizes so everybody won at least one item. most of the attendees left with two or more items.

i have'nt contacted arb cause i really don't know anybody there. all my emails have been "hand written" and are different for every vendor, since i know most of them. any thoughts?!
 
just heard back from foxfab! mike's in for some generous donations as well. he's also got a great idea for generating some support for the TLCa while we're at it. i'll let him tell you guys about it.:)

Fox Fabrication will be putting up a pile of reproduction FJ45LV and LPB "used-to-be-unobtanium" for the raffle.


A set of red/red repro FJ45L-PB tail light lenses

A few hand crank bumper brackets

A few sets of laser cut shackles

A few sets of FJ45L-V strikers

A few FJ45L-V tailgate stickers

Lastly, to show support for the TLCA, I asked Georg to run a special raffle or auction for a set of reproduction GIFU mud flaps with all of the proceeds going directly to TLCA.

here's another thought. mike aka foxfab mentioned that he'd be willing to donate a set of the gifu mud flaps to be auctioned off at the 45 run. the proceeds would be donated to the TLCA on the behalf of the event, all the participants and of course the person who donated the item in the first place.
i just received a pm from another board member willing to support the raffle with some prizes along with a piece of LV unobtanium.
obviously, there would only be a small handful of LV owners at the event/raffle and their chances of winning/needing said piece might be slim to none.
so how about we set up some sort of online raffle on this board for some of the more esoteric prizes and then donate the proceeds to a good cause like the TLCA or FTOR?!

any thoughts, ideas and comments would be greatly appreciated!

more news! i talked to dan aka gravelmaker. he's in for some raffle prizes as well and will try to attend the event in person.:)

Great idea about the online raffle (or auction) and donating the proceeds. If someone sets that up, I have a rust free upper tailgate for an lv that I would contribute.

I have some oil filters to raffle off at the run too. Georg, I will be in touch with you as my plans solidify. If I am not going to make it to the event, I will make arrangements to ship them to you.

great. thanks for the donations brian, i do appreciate it as i'm sure all the attendees do. hope you can make it, it's shaping up to be the best 45 run yet!
