I've always been a little envious of the range of aftermarket products designed for the Jeep JK. So when I saw this table on Off Road Evolution's website, I thought it would be just the right size to mount on my Slee swing out. At $179 I figured it should be pretty stout. Install was easy using the supplied nutserts. Powder coated rough finish looks like it will hold up to the elements.

Very cool, I like it.

Amazing you posted this,I was just contemplating this same setup the other night! I was concerned it would block the tail light, but doesn't look like it. Does it rattle?

Great looking setup!

If I could do something like that on my FJ Cruiser with a custom bumper, it would be nice.
I am still in search of a good rear bumper.

Very nice.

It does look to be a bit close to the tail gate when the arm is closed. If the bumper or the swingout flexes it might bump the tail gate. I have seen quite a bit of flex when you land the rear bumper hard on a shelf.

Just drilled into the ladder uprights and installed nutserts. The folded table has a little more than 1/2 inch clearance from the plastic emblem on the lift gate. I really don't think there's that much flex to be an issue. I've also mounted a 2 gallon RotoPax to the inside of the ladder and that has not been a problem either. I have to admit that the table is a little heavy at almost 30 lbs. It would really be nice if it was aluminum.

I am planning on the Slee bumper in the next few months with only the tire swing out and not the ladder. Do you think this table could be mounted on the tire swing out just as easily instead of the ladder?

You could mount it on the tire carrier side, but not without some modification. You would also lose the ability to mount a hi-lift jack. Also, the ladder side swings out a little further than the tire side. I have drawers and a fridge slide on the passenger side so it was much more conducive to mount on the ladder. Even throwing on a Trasheroo would be a hassle if you mounted on the tire side.

Here is a trail table I built using parts available from Amazon.

330lb Stainless Folding Brackets (2)
330lb Stainless Steel Folding Shelf

UHMW Sheet, White cutting board top. 1/2" thick 12" X 24"
http://www.amazon.com/dp/B000ILLNKC/ref=biss_dp_t_asn

A small sheet of aluminium was used for hot pans or a Jet Boil. The UHMW was hand routered to make the aluminum flush

The brackets were mounted using Nutserts (1/4" X 20)

In order to keep it closed, I drilled a hole in one side of the hinge and placed a small pin to lock the hinge in the closed position.

Note - Don't try and paint the brackets black. The paint does not stick to stainless steel.
