Some of you have seen this thread that discussed a few different variations of Toyota aux./fog light switches.

I have been doing some research and found one JDM (front) fog light switch that should work for the rectangular coin slot for any Toyota (or the 80 series cruiser's dash/console), as well as five rear fog switches that are shaped the same.

One of the features that was desired on the above thread and what all of these switches that I'm offering have is that they illuminated when the parking/marker lights are on AND have a separate indicator light that lights up when the aux. lights are turned on.

Please don't rain on my parade and deflate me by posting something like "You can get that very switch from the USDM Toyota Corolla, etc..." :flipoff2: ;)

Let's face it, any of the Toyota fog light switches would turn the lights on and off, just fine. But if you want the two-stage illumination (Not sure if that's the correct terminology, but it sounded good. :flipoff2:) these are it. :hillbilly:

Switch Numero Uno (Vertical, does NOT stay clicked in when the lights are on: Clear bulb on the illumination side/white-ish condom on the indicator side: The switch housing says "amber", fwiw.):

Don't know if it's right-side-up or up-side-down though! :D

This one comes from another vehicle.

I'd love any of you to tell me if there's an easy way to check the color of the illumination of these switches.

Numero Tres (Vertical: , The switch DOES stay clicked in when the lights are on: Clear bulb on the illumination side/green condom on the indicator side):

This is the one that is actually for the front fogs.

And just because the indicator light goes on the top side maybe the other vertical switches I have should be that way, too. But oh well, I guess you should orient it whichever way you want that makes it more visible.

Another vertical rear fog. This one would be good if you actualy do have rear fogs or a work light in the back or something.

This one also has the indicator on top, too. I guess I might have to rotate the above pics or something! :hillbilly:

Goban... (#5 for Japanese :hillbilly:)
Horizontal, does stay clicked in when the lights are on: Clear bulbs on both sides, with no condoms(But PLEASE practice safe sex!:D No jackhammers either!:hillbilly:)

Some of you might have known, but the '95-'97 80 series in Japan came with a horizontal fog light switch mounted on the dash near the dash dimmer control, security indicator, etc..., for their built-in (amber) fog lights.

The indicator looks slightly different on this one than others. I don't know what it means though!
Again, if you can show me a relatively easy way to tell what the illumination and the indicator colors might be that would be great!

These last two switches would be perfect for that slot, as well as the slot next to the rear heater switch.

Again, don't know which way it's supposed to be facing, but whichever way you like or is more visible when the indicator is on would be alright!

To check the color of the illumination, remove the light bulbs. If they have a colored rubber "condom" you know the color of the illumination. If not you can use a small flashlight to light up the switch.

You can also use a 12v battery and use thin wires to jump power to the wires you see on the bottom of the light bulbs in the switch housings.

Where can you get these ?

Are you going to sell some ?.

I love the indicator light when the fog lights are turned ON.

I am very interested in Number Three (as in, pending price, I would buy one today).

Also, can you tell us if female connectors are available for these switches? (specifically, number three). I would love to purchase both at the same time.

I would be interested in #1 or #2 & #4 with pigtails if available. 1 of each.

Thanks for the tip!
I did remove the bulbs and most of them are clear, at least the ones for the illumination part (under the graphics), meaning whatever the colored sheet that they might have in there would be the color that it would light up in.

I used my LED headlight, trying to light it up in the dark to see if I could make out what the color might be, but I failed! I just don't have a light small enough to fit into/through these VERY small holes!

And a lot of the bulbs that are used to indicate the aux. lights being on did/do have condoms on them, but the only one was clearly green. (Switch #3/front fog switch).

While I could not determine what the other condom color was, the switch #1 had a marking on its side that said "amber"... but the rest of them with the same color condom(s) did not.

So I do not know that means that the condom color is amber or the illumination part is.

I'll try to edit the original posts and list what bulbs I found in them, fwiw.

Would that mean that I should not have the two wires touching each other, creating sparks, etc...? If so, I'm not sure even my hands that are used to handling small objects:hillbilly: would be able to keep the wires from touching each other!

I'll try to put the prices, etc... in the next post!

I don't have pigtails for any of them.
Hope that's not a dealbreaker for all of you!

Thanks for your interest!
Again, no pigtails.

I'll go back and edit the posts and will try to post the pricing info. after I get that done.

Thanks again for your interest!

I just snapped a couple of pics to show you what I mean by green, white-ish, and (just to make sure there are no misunderstandings) clear:

Now here's the info. that I've been dreading to post in fear of "I was interested til I saw the price!" or "I'm interested, but not at that price!" type of posts. :hillbilly:

ANYWAY, I have NO IDEA if any of these will sell and/or I would be getting any more of them in.

Most of them were from vehicles from the '90s and to be honest, I had to wait a few weeks on some of them to be manufactured. What that "might" mean is that some of them might be getting discontinued in the near future.

You're probably right in assuming that I'm saying this partically to drive up my sale, but the 3-way switch that was mentioned on the other thread got discontinued sometime last year. So I don't think it's too far fetched, either! :hillbilly:

These ones that I have now I would like to let them go cheap, as kind of an introductory price/offer for $49US, with free air shipping to your door included.

When these are sold the price will be higher, so please get them (relatively) cheap, while they last! :grinpimp:

OK, if these do actually sell quickly and you want more I will honor the above price for any of you if you order in the next few days. (No pressure! :grinpimp:)

But chances are, just like with most of my offerings I'll probably be stuck with all of these and will be begging you guys to take them two years from now!!! :hillbilly:

"IF" any of you are still interested, I will honor the order that you have expressed your interest in, whether by posting here or the time that the PM's were/are sent.

As always, thanks for looking!!

UCB,

It's yours.

I'll PM the payment info.

THANKS!! :crybaby:

So far the only one that has been paid for (and shipped) is #3.

And as I had mentioned above, I have not had much success in determining what their colors are, etc... So I don't know if they match or not! SORRY!!!

Talk about getting on the wagon late.... if you still have a #3 I will take one.
