For the Swine faithful,

I've discovered that the body mount under the driver's feet is off somehow, looks like it was redone without the proper washers and I can actually jerk the bottom of the bolt around. I believe this is the source of my unidentified clunking.

So I need to access the TOP of this body mount to see what's up but can't for the life of me figure out how to? Do I need to cut a hole in the floor (there are a lot of floor patches so this wouldn't be the worst thing) or is there an access panel somewhere?

Anyone know?

Many thanks,
Dave

I had to cut a hole to get into mine - of course I had to cut rust out anyways so I wasn't cutting virgin sheet. My floor was bolted and tacked to the body mount so there wasn't any great way to get into there. The bolt should come up through the floor into the cabin. I have a couple pics on pages 3, 5 and 8 of my resto thread @ https://forum.ih8mud.com/showthread.php?t=136996.

sounds like you have something non stock, fabbed up from the previous owner, on my 1970 55 resto, the bolt is right there on the drivers side corner for the front body mount, should be fairly simple. Can you take a pic and post up??

SOR has a complete poly kit for the 55....
