A completely upgraded gearbox using the 105 series sector shaft and pitman arm.

I just finished this one up for a local MUD member, and have have enough parts in hand to have another one done. Takes about a day to have it done once order is placed. I will be offering these shipped for $690 with your core returned to me. This makes it easier for some folks since this is a complete package.
With confirmation of the core being shipped (tracking info), the new unit will be sent out. These are genuine Toyota parts. These units have a lifetime warranty against leaks and adjustment. NOT BREAKAGE. If it ever leaks or needs re adjusting, send it back. Thanks for looking.

*If your truck is a DD, please contact me. Arrangements may be made to minimize down time of your vehicle.

Received one from scotia, though yet to install.

Textbook transaction, great communication, shipped quickly.

I believe these are sitting on the shelf to minimize downtime, if a consideration.

I also got a replacement/upgrade from Scotia and was very satisfied.

Kinda old thread revival .. did you still have this offer .?

Yes, offer still good as long as 105 parts have not gone up this year. Have not run through my 105 stock yet.
Offering porting as well but that comes with no warranty due to the mods. Not a very popular option given it is for an 80 series.

And have had a few questions regarding cores. If you don't have one for what ever reason, tack on $275 to the box cost. Sounds high but it saves me the extra leg work of finding more good cores. Not many out there to be had. Locally that is.

Have suddenly been hammered with questions on these and after double checking on supplies/costs, I have had to raise the price by $15 due to various reasons. I feel that this is still a good deal as parts alone for me to have these done are over $600. So now the total is $690 from $675. I am sorry but like everything else, I too get hit by all this crap.

I've a little story to tell, to fully develop the circumstances regarding this post.

Yeah, I'm wordy. :flipoff2:

I originally bought a core box from arcteryx, and rebuild kit/105 sector shaft from beno with the intent of a driveway project, as part of a complete rehabilitation of all steering components.

As things progressed, realized I'd bitten off more than I could chew, if I wanted to wheel in 2013, so approached scotia about swapping the core and 105 shaft for credit towards one if his prebuilt boxes.

Transaction occurred, box sat for awhile, while developing plans for a major overhaul, ultimately performed by Robbie Antonson.

Robbie mounted scotia's box ( just wanted to say that ) vehicles returned to me and driven a hundred miles on road, no issues.

First trip off road, while running the rocks, suddenly smell hydro fluid. At first, wasn't sure what the culprit, be eventually track down to the jam nut being loose on the adjuster screw. For lack of reasonable means to tighten to my satisfaction to continue wheeling, filled her up and drove home.

Contact scotia, determine a possible fluke, but a continuing sentiment that he'd swap the box at any time. Tighten up, more on road with no issues.

Go to Clayton and deep in the rocks, same thing occurs, dumping all fluid. Tighten up and fill with 3 quarts to get out. Stop in civilization, refill, drive home 150 miles.

Talk to scotia again, he expressing the same sentiments regarding warranting box, but we determined to disregard any tightening procedures, and tighten the jam nut tighter and trying again.

Few weeks pass and on way to wheel when the unmistakeable odor of hydro fluid emanates on the highway. Stop, same issue, tighten, fill, drive home.

At this point, scotia insisted on a new box, claiming some type of issue with the one I have installed.

New box arrived yesterday, only delayed due to my request for him to port.

Regardless, the point of the biblically proportioned post is Patrick (scotia) stands behind his service. At any time, I'm sure he could've pointed fingers of blame at installer, or myself, since I'm not easy on anything, but he didn't. He continually offered to swap, without hesitation.

Considering he doesn't make a huge profit on the service, highlights the quality and a genuine concern over a product with issues.

Thanks, Patrick. I greatly appreciate the candid nature in which resolution was attempted and ultimately solved.
