1FZ-FE new from Toyota 42k miles

I bought a couple of cruisers 2 years ago from a local cruiserhead. One was a 1996 with 225k and lockers. Also included in the sale was a rolled 1993 that had the engine replaced 42k miles prior to the accident. I was going to do the swap into the '96, but my wife didn't like the cigarette smell and faded paint, so I sold the '96. Then I found a low mileage LX450 that the :princess: liked, so that leaves me with a new 42k mi. 1fz-fe in a rollover that I need to get rid of. The bottom end of the motor is new from Toyota, then upon assembly? the PO found that the head was cracked and ended up getting a used head and machining it. Can't remember the details right now, but I have all the records of the work done at a Toyota dealership.
Looking at the engine bay I can tell that the PO was meticulous in his care as most of us tend to be on this forum. Toyota oil filters, Toyota red antifreeze, etc. The truck has been garage kept until a month ago when circumstances forced me to move it to my house. Now it sits on a car hauler with a tarp over it. I need to move it to make room for another project fj80 that is taking up room at my parent's land.
The price from cruiserparts.net for high mileage engines runs from $1400-2500. Why go through all that work to put a high-mileage engine into your truck? This one is just getting broken in. PO used conventional oil for the initial break-in, then switched to synthetic.

Asking price

1FZ-FE $2400
transmission $500
both together $2700
also many other parts from the vehicle, including newer A/C compressor, although the axles were already sold by the PO. Just make an offer.
If you call and catch me before I go pull it, you can negotiate a much lower price if you want to just haul it all away for me. I'll even sell you the car hauler it's sitting on for an extra $650.
I'm also open to trades for something fun. I like dirtbikes, stuff for my fj40 or lx450, skiing, Nikon photography, and many other hobbies. I also need a cage built for an fj80 that I'm buggying.

I'm located in Pinetop, AZ 85935--180 miles NE of Phoenix. I'm willing to put it on a pallet and ship it for the actual cost of shipping + my gas cost for the trip to PHX or you can pick up locally. I'm flexible on certain things, but do have a dental practice to run, so if you depend on my schedule, you'll have to be patient as I may not be able to pull it as fast as you need it if you are without an engine.

So, if I read it correctly, the engine has 30k on it. What about the tranny? I assume it's a A442F? Any history on it?

Thanks

That does not look like a 30K engine to me.....

:meh:

Maybe the duck tape on the intake tube is a giveaway.....

Details to look for would be if the headgasket was replaced and if its the newer style. Im assuming if head work was done---it should be new.

Thanks for the replies, guys. I looked into it in the notebook I got with it and the mileage out when the work was performed was 144k. The odometer has 186k on it now so my title was wrong. The engine has 42k miles on it and is 1993. Sorry for the mixup, was going off my memory.
The owner was Darren Webster...mud name CRUISERMON. Anyone wanting a more detailed explanation could probably get better play-by-play details than from me. Not trying to pull the wool over anyone's eyes, it is what it is and it would be going into one of my cruisers if I had a better place to store it.
Like I said earlier, it's negotiable, just want to be done with it. Not interested in giving it away, though. Would just give it to my brother that bought the 96 if that were the case.
Can send better pics if requested.
Will edit title for corrections.

SDnative- sorry. Looked through the records and have nothing on the tranny. Assume 186k mi on it.

Taking offers. Let me know what you are willing to pay. I've only got 155k on my other cruiser, so I don't want to have to store this thing forever...

Ok, you've said the correct things: Darren Webster owner and Will Carroll was the mechanic.

I would buy this.

Thanks for the vote, Onur. Any interest for anyone? :hhmm:

Still for sale?

Very interested. I'm up in WA, are you willing to palletize for shipment?

Let me know.

Exactly. I figured it was legit when I saw Will's name on the invoice. Seems like a good deal on a low mile engine.

I finally got this thing put in my Cruiser. She is a quiet runner for sure!!!!

My old one with 230K miles:

A little video: It fired up after about 5 engine rotations, then it stumbled for a few seconds, then it settled down. I still need to check the timing and I tried to cheat and reuse the exhaust pipe donuts because I forgot to get new ones. As you can hear, I need to replace them.
