Ramon has graciously offered the use of his driveway and garage the weekend of December 8th for the purpose of installing this into Moonshine:

The plan is as follows:

Dec 7th:
- I'm taking the day off work to get started. I will be removing the Toyota driveline and swapping the rear axle.

Dec 8th HAMOM:
- Put 4BT/NV4500/Dana300 into engine bay and measure a million times
- Weld up new motor mounts as well as a transmission crossmember
- Line up rear pinion and weld on perches
- Reassemble front clip and start plumbing / wiring

Dec 9th:
- Finish up odds and ends and hopefully drive off!!

Chickens and beer will be provided, so place your orders :D

If someone wants to come in from out of town, I have two guest rooms that are open to as many guys as want to share a full-size bed and a futon :p

I need to get a firm list of who will be there by the 6th so I get enough food + beer on the 7th. Post up if you wanna come and help, or just come to drink the beer, either is fine with me :grinpimp:

Finally, I made the pig cooker reservation for the 7th through the 9th on the calendar. Would anyone be able to tow it from the barn back to Raleigh next weekend?

Thanks guys!

I can tow it back. Not sure if I'll be making the HAMOM weekend, but I could at least drop it off. I've got to start getting the other house ready for renters....

I like your choice in floor jacks, you must have gotten one a few weeks ago also...:)

Sweet, thank you Brian! If you need help prepping / repairing / cleaning the house in Garner after the HAMOM, I'll be around to help if you need it :D

Actually I got this floor jack on a sale last year some time. We used it when installing Terry's A440 and it makes swapping out my pits stupid easy. Had to have it replaced once due to water getting into the pistons, but aside from that, it's been great! I think I picked it up for $160, $200 out the door with a warranty and tax.

I gotta work but wish I could as least come and watch, AND drink your beer! ;) You should have enough help though with all the members that live in and around Raleigh. Good luck and can't wait to see the new and improved Moonshine...

No problem, I'll let you know. I would like to be there, as I'll need to do the same measuring and lining up for placing the MB into the project 40, so I'll like to be in on the brainstorming/rationalizing on ideal position...

Yeah, I'd going to try and get most of the yard cleaned up tomorrow, and then my sister-in-law moves out between now and Christmas.

I picked up the 2 and a half version a few weeks ago for 70, I had put off getting one too long...

Pretty sure we'll be around, so I'll try to make it. I'll confirm for sure when the keeper of our social calendar returns from NJ.

I may be able to come up. Will check with the princess.

I think I'll be there, if Mr. Free's going to be there!

Dude, maybe if you would be more helpful to others, others might be more apt to help you out. Loser...

I know, right? I'm such a dick ;p

I have about an acre of woods for you to start in man. :hillbilly: :hillbilly: :hillbilly:

Not going to make this one sorry. Will be in Uwharrie the weekend prior and after this and the wife has said she would like to see me a bit more for some stupid reason.

I'll be there to help with moonshine. I'm also bringing the grill to the barn next weekend.

 It is going to be one loud beast, that's for sure. Hell, you may be able to hear us start it up from Raeford!

Sweet, thanks man :D

I'll crawl out of my cave for this one for sure. Looks friggen sweet in the pic, can't wait to see inside Moonshine.

Know all my (well, most, you can't have all my homebrew) resources are at your disposal, plenty of 1.5/.120, 1.75/.120, 1.5x1.5/.250 tubing, some 1/4", 1/8" and a few tools that may help. I've also got a propane heater and an extra EZ-up, just in case. I'll also bring a couple hands to throw into the mix.

Let me know if/how I can help before then...
