Last year we implemented measures so that we could offer in-house fabrication & CAD design for 2014. Mission accomplished. With the resources & time to devote towards performance fabricated Cruiser items, we have the ability to fabricate whatever we want if there is a demand. Chilling thought considering the possibilities. After many requests, we have the first AOR sliders for the 80/LX mounted & done. Most people we spoke with mentioned liking the rub rail tucked up against the rocker just close enough to protect and look as if it part of the truck. We feel that was accomplished with this design. On the flipside, we did have a large inquiry for steps too. We planned ahead while making the jig and are able to make these tubes at ANY degree down or out. We can also do full top plates if desired.

It’s not efficient to offer multiple designs of one slider. So that brings up the big question. What are your thoughts on this design opposed to down.. out or steps? Whatever the design, we will do runs of 5 or more to keep production cost reasonable.

We’re looking for THREE interested parties with deposits and we will build 5 full sets of that design. For those that haven’t been by our shop or haven’t seen the quality of our craftsmanship, I have enclosed pictures of some of skill level that our products exude. We are super excited to start on domestic built bumpers, sliders and suspension components for 80’s & 100’s.

80 Slider details-
* MOUNTING PLATES ARE 1/4” LASER CUT WITH GRADE 8 HARDWARE.
OUTER RUB RAIL- 1-3/4" OD x .120 WALL DOM TUBE
BOTTOM RUB RAIL- 2"X3" X 3/16 WALL SQUARE
MOUNTING PLATES TO FRAME- 1/4” PLATE
LASER CUT CAT PROTECTION- 3/16” BROKE PLATE **WILL BE REVISED**
LASER CUT GUSSETS- 3/16” PLATE
LASER CUT DIMPLE DIE PLATES - 1/8” BROKE PLATE
HARDWARE- GRADE 8 & MILITARY GRADE STOVER NUTS

**PLEASE NOTE THAT THE CAT PROTECTION WILL BE REVISED. IT WILL BREAK HIGHER UP AND NOTCH AROUND THE CAT A LITTLE CLOSER**

An 80 slider as mentioned above and in the pictures will be $600 bare. We are currently working with a couple of our freight companies to get the best shipping cost available. Powder coat, full top plate dimple die etc can be done for an additional fee. As you can see, no expense was spared nor quality compromised. Criticism and praise welcome.

All the best,

Brian

A couple of more

Here's a couple more. Mind you this was our prototype, so production will have some refinements.

I'd like to see a cross between a step and the full tuck with a rear kick out, what are you looking for deposit wise and any news about prices on NE coast shipping? Or to a freight depot where we could pick up?

Should have freight figured out early next week. Hubs are usually plentiful...would just have to find the one closest to your location. A good faith deposit would be 50% of the sliders. Unfortunately kick outs aren't an option at this point. It would require a whole new fixture. Pm's answered.

Thank you all for your support,
Brian

Very interested once I would know powder coat cost and shipping to 58801.

There are plenty of sliders on the market and they all are about the same thing, hardly any are available with functional steps though. Something like this would be different and functional:

It looks like with your main support bar it would be pretty easy to change up the style.

Kbahus, I am looking for functional sliders/steps also. My concern is that this design would not allow you to "slide"

It just comes down to the type wheeling you do. I dont think those would cause me to hang up, nothing a little skinny peddle couldn't fix anyways. The big hang ups for sliders are usually the support beams from the frame as they come out perpendicular and catch rocks head on.

Point well taken....

would you also make for the 93 and 94 fzj 80 it has the big fat cat? how much would it cost me to shipped in 94403? also total with powder coat?

I'm not getting automatic updates since the software switch. We have material and laser cut parts in house. We are building 5 sets of the 95-97 at a 22.5 degree angle. We will see how well these move and look into the other years. If we have all 5 sets powder coated, we can get them done for $80 a set. We may just coat them all and offer them done. We're approx 4 weeks out. First come first serve with deposit. Otherwise, they will be in stock and available. I've always hated the group buy hangups, so we are just making them and will have them.

Thanks,
Brian
