This happened to me in my Isuzu trooper and it was the positive battery cable being a little loose on the starter. It would short under heavy throttle. Took me a while to find the intermittent problem.

If you're looking for a cheap beater that'll be fine. Don't expect it to ever be worth anything and it will be a B---- to work on

I am guessing that the new lines and maybe your new calipers had some metal dust from manufacturing. I would flush the brakes again and I wouldn't be too worried unless it keeps happening or there is a change in braking performance.

It sounds like heat soak. When an engine is shut off the temperature spikes for a short time until all the stored up heat in the engine that would be transferred to the coolant is used. Do you know if someone has done the resistor mod on the temperate gauge? This would make the gauge way more...

I went through a lot of trouble trying to follow the fsm and it ended up that the pre-load was perfect when I re-used the old shims it was almost perfect.
