    Headrest Rattle ('21 LC 200)

Yeah, it seems my 2021 HE pass headrest rattles even more than on my 2015. Pushing the headrest all the way down however takes care of it. It is annoying given how otherwise solid/rattle free these trucks are.

Fair enough, but as far as I know diesel turbos tend to be more robust as they tend spool slower, run lower pressures, even if they move more air. I.e. are less stressed than their gasoline counterparts. Anyway, this is a silly discussion. A claim that an engine with a component (or two)...

They run turbo gassers? Who knew.

I probably should not respond... and feed a "T"? Troll? Or for "Turbo Fanboi"? Ever heard of or experienced turbo bearings seizing and causing rotating assembly to to go out of balance and compressor wheel "shaving" the compressor cover and sending (under high pressure!) the aluminum shavings...

    Underbody rust inhibitor treatment recommendations.

Corrosion Free. I posted many times on that, so just search for my posts on the topic. In short: better, longer lasting, non-stinky Fluid Film. Great for DIY.

Powerful NA V8, even if somewhat antiquated is very much "special" compared to a turbocharged V6. Re 300, driven enough turbocharged vehicles to know I don't want one. Peace.

Ha, never noticed it on the 60-series. I think it wears it better.

    Yokohama G003 M/T feedback on 200?

@Tex68w, we established you're almost completely deaf! You can't hear 8-speed 1st gear whine, either! So we can't take your feedback on tire noise seriously :grinpimp:

    Yokohama G003 M/T feedback on 200?

Thank you for the reply and not too late! It convinced me to stay away from the G003. Bought Nitto Ridge Grapplers instead (in 285/70/17E). Compared to KO2 they are surprisingly noisy. Mud-tire hum is noticeable at 35-40mph particularly. At highway speeds it goes away, wind noise takes over...

This picture apparently shows a base-model. Note the bumper does not extend as low. The white/black trucks seen in other pictures must be Middle Eastern versions with bigger/lower front ends/reduced approach angle. There is a gaudy looking body kit fitted to some Middle Eastern 200-series as well.

And your point is? I could care less about history, legacy and other bulls***. V8-equipped 200 is just a great truck, and IMHO better than a V6-turbo one. Of course it could be improved in several ways like weight reduction via aluminum panels, direct-injection for fuel savings, HVAC separate...

Side mirror sticking out of the door looks ridiculous. Were they going for a Ferrari look? :hmm: Especially that the black triangle where mirror normally mounts is still visible.

Indeed, split tailgate is gone, what a shame. And it's not pretty for sure, the front is garish. Between the above and turbo V6 - case closed. Glad I stocked up on 200-series. Could not care less now if Toyota brings the 300 to the U.S. or not. Though they surely will as Lexus. Just like...
