Looking for advice - 100 series vs 200 series

Agreed with shane431. If you're going to overland I wouldn't want to deal with excessive rust on a trail fix.

Thanks for the air ideas Malleus! I'll give those a try.

Yeah I suppose you're right. I can't really access them if they're clogged, but I could at least test them on an incline.

Thanks! I'll check it out. edit - since that's in the hatch wouldn't that make the rear carpet wet? That's not something I've noticed before. Probably worth replacing the gasket anyway though.

Ok the rear third row windows and sunroof were left cracked during a big rainstorm. The only major water I could tell was in the rear cargo area so I removed the carpeting for a full dry out. I discovered water inside the body holes that are right by the rear tailgate. Sucked that out and closed...

Thanks for the clarification Mike! I actually ordered the Miti brackets this morning so glad to hear it was the correct choice.

Anyone try the Magnaflow OEM Grade Catalytic Converters?

The problem with running without cats is that the codes disable the VSC. This may or may not bother you, but my wife would like all the traction controls. You can always clear them with a reader, but they eventually come back. I'm dealing with that now on my 03' since it currently has the...

Intro thread & questioning the strength of the stock roof rails

Was the flex in the crossbars or did you also notice it in the rails? The 80/20 extrusions are incredibly strong (pic below). For reference, I've got 3 of these between the stock rails. The awning only has two attachment points of course. That's what I was thinking. The awning is only 44lbs...

Intro thread & questioning the strength of the stock roof rails

Hey 100 series peeps. I've been a lurker since we got our 03 a couple of years ago so this is overdue. We bought it stock and started having enough fun to become a little obsessed. I've probably spent too much money on it, but I tell myself "it's for the whole family!" We live in the...

Anyone try the Magnaflow OEM Grade Catalytic Converters?

Especially good to hear they worked on the first gen Tundra due to the 2UZ. I assume those were also OBD-II?
