there were no prototypes or sacrificial parts. I had one shot at it and I did miss. For some reason, all bolt holes were off to mount to the frame. I had to open them up to get the bolts to go through. So for those attempting to rebuild what i have, verify the holes. Then, verify again.

Yes, i could have got away with what you said but I wasn't sure how a large cantilevered load would affect the vertical arm, after i attach a jerry can, holder and a 80lb tire. I am still working on the jerry can holder that is removable. i dont like the idea of hauling extra weight when not needed.
