When I say overly complicated computer systems, it is due to our disappointment at how reliant the Bronco is on software - for just about everything. Things such as the "electronic nanny" taking the truck out of four wheel drive on the trail because of an overly sensitive sensor, or the air...
My husband and I had one of the first Broncos in our area. It is my husband's daily driver. The process was exhausting, but once we finally had it, we were hopeful that all misery would be behind us. If you're anyone who even remotely follows car and truck news, you'll understand what brought my...
We went with Interstate but feel like the parasitic draw is likely our ultimate issue. Yesterday we replaced the alternator but will break out the fluke meter in the coming weeks and see what we can uncover. Thanks everyone for your replies!
Eighty-four! Wow. We went with interstate but now I'm reconsidering. 😂 We are hoping there hasn't been some undiagnosed parasitic draw on the power all these years but who knows. We will see how long this one goes for.
We'll be looking at Denso as well, just because... obvious reasons as you also stated. Interesting about the bluetti - I'll have to do some research on that and ty!
Interstate seems like the tried and true, just wondering why Optima is so much more expensive - couldn't possibly be that much...
When acquiring my GX470 we noted on the service records almost yearly battery replacement. To date, we have installed 2 new ones, and we've had our around 4 years. Looking at Interstate or Optima Yellow Top batteries to maybe give us a bit more longevity. Has anyone had similar issues? What...
After looking at hundreds of pics on here and elsewhere, we decided on Toyo AT3 285/70/17 SL. The wheels were not our first pic, but with product shortages and delays, these days it’s not what you want, but what you can get (or are willing to wait months for). In the end I’m happier with the...
@rommelrommel I understand what you mean. We expected to have to trim or heat gun some things to give a bit of clearance where needed. It might be we‘ll just stick with 265/70/17 until we can resolve the lift issue - and then consider swapping wheels for better offset later on.
As far as the...
Yeah it is Ironman. We’re in contact with them. We definitely measured at time of install and now. The front has dropped. The rear is the same. This caused us to considering going KO2 because BFG has that in-between size of 275 that Toyo doesn’t have, but if we’re not mistaken, the KO2s are...
We are looking to up our 265/65R17 to 285/70R17 on our ‘07 GX470. We installed a two inch lift with control arms about eight months ago. Problem is... our front has sagged or relaxed almost to stock height and we have a two inch difference between front and back. So now the stock size tire...
