Hey Dudley, It is leaking at the base of the carb just above he manifold (bottom of the insulator). Started dying on my with choke in, had to pull choke 1/4 way out. Sprayed brake cleaner on it and rpms increased so I'm guessing it needs new gasket?

Well I encountered my first vacuum leak. Looks like base of my carb and after looking at cost for parts I'm thinking of just replacing the whole thing. It seems as though I'm running a 1973 2bbl original carb on a 2F engine from 1976. Is this ok or would you recommend upgrading to a 1976 carb...

Nothing in STL. Might be a bit of a drive to get anywhere. I did watch some videos on Potowatama off road park - trails didn't look too rough from what I could see.

Have a 1973 tub with a 77 top...this is my first 40. Will this fit? Have the stock long seats in the back. Located in st louis

Running a 1973 with a 77 top..stock long seats. Picked it up a few weeks ago and am new...will this fit or do I need to search for a '73?
