No, I am sorry. The radio works, but with much static/RF. With the truck at base idle, when I turn on the radio it kills the truck. As I stated before there is no radio suppressor on the igniter or the alt. I am about to wire the radio hot direct to the fuse block with a stand alone harness and...

I have no connector with that set of wires in it. I have asked many people about this and no one seems to be able to help. The Toyota wiring diagram that I have is not very good/useless.

It's the only plug in the harness that goes into the radio.

I also don't have any suppressors on the alt and igniter. The igniter wire that goes to the distributor has been spliced very poorly.

Just FYI the truck is a late USA market with a production date of Aug 1983.

Here is what I have. I obtained a new a new proper plug and then spliced into the old radio harness at the power side of things.

When I turn on the OEM AM radio at idle the trucks stops running. I also have excessive RFI on the radio when the truck is running at a higher rpm off idle
