If it read zero, I wouldn’t keep topping it up from the parts-store can. At that point I’d want gauges and a vacuum pump so you can see if it actually holds vacuum, then charge it properly instead of guessing from the little trigger gauge. This kit is the sort of thing I’d buy for occasional...
