the $6K quote is just for labor not to include machining costs (which I’m not a mechanic so I don’t know how much that runs). More than happy to pay someone for their service but also good to know its a reasonable price for a rebuild! Thanks :-)

Hey all that are following, update! We pulled it from the initial shop because they didn’t know what they were doing. I was able to get some more photos of the transfer case that is completely disassembled in the back of the truck. The current shop it is at isn’t sure if they can rebuild...

That I need a whole new transfer case. Went in to change out the seal they believed was blown, when they pulled it down to change the seal they stated there were 2 bolts in the transfer case housing so they had to take that apart. After they took it apart, I got a call that the transfer case...
