That’s a really helpful reply thank you. The seller did an A/C recharge before they sold it and it just went out so I’m assuming that is another victim of the rust. I’ll absolutely replace the bearings/bushings/seals.

Was this before or after they discontinued one of the brake lines? I thought about ordering all new ones but it seems like one of them you have to bend yourself

Got it. Is there any safety concern with this level of rust? Like a brake line leaking? That’s the only reason I’d consider a professional. Thanks.

Thanks for the reply. I had budgeted about 2k for the rust situation. Do you think that clean up and correction is upwards of that?

Bought this 2005 Lx470 with 150k for 11k. Knew there was a little surface rust but after getting in there it might be more of a problem than I can handle myself. Should I wire brush and coat myself or take it to a body shop? My main concern is safety, I don’t want a break line going out or...
