Picked up an older roof rack from a Range Rover defender. It’s 57 inches wide and way too long. No problem modifying the length but wondering about using a 57 inch wide rack. Seems about 3 inches too wide.
Worth the effort modifying the width or use it at 57 inches?
Followed the 3Fe desmog instructions and all went well. The only part I did differently was taking of the entire intake manifold to access the air rail plugs versus the valve cover.
Started right up and drove great home (2 miles - low speed). Took it out this morning and noticed a hesitation...
received my new radiator today for my 88 FJ62. Its a super nice item and the fit appears to be perfect with one exception. The transmission cooler ports are different than the one I'm removing. It appears the ports are M14 x 1.5 male inverted flare fittings.
Is that stock?
Had my A440 trans rebuilt a few years ago and had an external trans cooler installed at the time bypassing the trans cooler on the radiator.
Now my radiator is blown and I’m replacing with one from CCOT.
my question is this. Should I run the trans cooler and the external in series to expand...
Does anyone have a solution for the slide cover that works with the automatic shifter. Parts are not available but I was wondering if anyone found an option.

I currently have the denso 047200 and can’t find the original. What’s the proper replacement?
