On my 2010 GX460, there's a DAC, Downhill Assist Control, button. Tried it once on a loose , steep trail descent . This "feature" made the vehicle slide and loose traction. The antilock brake system kept kicking in and out, with the DAC engaged. Yikes, No thanks!!:censor: I can control my 4x4...

My first guess is the alternator is bad. Especially if it is the original alternator. Being a 1998 LX 470, that alternator is getting pretty old. Hopefully that's the issue, but there could be a second issue, too. The LX may start shutting down electrical components in steps as the alternator...

Sorry you had this issue. Hope you find out what happened. Let us know. I haven't had an issue like that on my 460, so don't have any thoughts.
