Wow..found the solution There was a wire plugged into the coil but itt was strung between the ps fender & the cannister on the firewall I realize this was a novice question and i really appreciate the help- JTR

Dumb query here Put new plug wire set on & the center wire on the distributor is missing…. (From old set) What/ where does it connect to? 1977 FJ40 2fF Thanks in advance- JTR
