Warn Zeon 12 in ARB Bumper

In the last photo you can see the bolt that holds the whole assembly to the bumper. There is one behind each light. They are a couple inches behind the spot where the lights are mounted. The photo with the rusty washers shows the bracket that came with the relocation kit bolted to the top of...

    Rear brake rotor stuck on?

It was the left, drivers side, that was stuck on. Just rusted to the hub, car was sitting for a while before I bought it. I think my head gasket is ok.

    Rear brake rotor stuck on?

Both rotors went on and off without adjusting e brake. I probably need to adjust them because my e brake is pretty weak. I checked the e brake pads and they were good so I didn’t even think about changing them. The first rotor was just rusted on I think. The new one went on no prob. The...

    Rear brake rotor stuck on?

Thx guys. Used my 2.5 lb hammer and had my buddy rotate the other tire while I beat on the backside of the exposed part of the rotor. Had to keep it even so it didn’t bind and it came right off. Looked like 1 solid piece before it broke apart. Having another cup of coffee and about to do...

    Rear brake rotor stuck on?

i was trying to do my rear brakes today and ran into a prob. The rotor on the truck looks like it has a collar on it. The one I got doesn’t look like it does. Pretty sure I got the right oem replacement rotor. Is it fused to something? All the stuff I read and looked at seems like this...

    Front diff fluid question

Thanks for all the advice guys. It’s supposed to be 103 this weekend so I think I am just gonna rinse and repeat a few times with gear oil over the next couple hundred miles. I have had no problems with the diff or birfs I just knew the seals were bad as there was tons of grease leaking from...

    Front diff fluid question

I started my knuckle rebuild today and I ran into a problem with my front diff fluid. I went to drain my diff and pulled the drain plug and almost nothing came out. I removed the fill plug and a little more came out. The fluid was the thickness of like ketchup. From my understanding...

Warn Zeon 12 in ARB Bumper

Thanks for the info guys. I reclocked the winch and got the controller pack wired up with the extension kit. I haven’t attempted to install it yet. I have been trying to figure out where to mount the controller. I cut and painted a piece of steel to mount it on the light holes above the...

Warn Zeon 12 in ARB Bumper

I am going to be installing a Warn Zeon 12 into an arb bumper on my 80. I have to clock the clutch handle so that I can access it from the top of the winch since it sits feet forward in the bumper. Does it matter which way I rotate the winch housing after removing the bolts on the side...

Throttle body cleaning, compressor and bad idle

I was going over everything in my head and I think maybe I got dielectric grease on the boot end of some of the spark plugs. I applied it pretty liberally to the boots with my finger. It was kind of a mess. Maybe that is causing misfires and making it idle so rough? What can I use to get the...

Throttle body cleaning, compressor and bad idle

I just replaced the battery for good measure. The one in there was from 2013 and undersized. Replaced with optima 27f yellow top. Not sure what the fusible link is but I don't think this is battery related. I bet it is distributor related. Gonna recheck everything. When re inserting the...

Throttle body cleaning, compressor and bad idle

I am going to check the rubber intake tube again tomorrow morning. I was quite careful putting the dist back together. I did remove the entire thing to replace the inner o ring. I lined the tooth with the notch up with notch on the dist and slid it back in. With the motor at 0 deg the...

Throttle body cleaning, compressor and bad idle

Ya I used a piece of wire as a jumper. 3 deg. I haven't started changing out vacuum lines yet. I know there's a diagram under the hood. Looking around for a threat with real pics as well. Haven't found one yet. Also new efi relay came in today. Might change and see if it helps
