Finally got around to flexing the truck in a controlled way so I could pick a final tire size and set the bump stops. Looks like 37’s are the size.

    Wanted  3B Injector Source

Does anyone have a source for new or rebuilt injectors for the 3B engine? I see a ton of Chinese made injectors on Ebay but I suspect there has to be a source for new injectors for these engines from a trusted cruiser source. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Thanks. The 406/MB4/94 has been a great rig. We mostly use it as a plow but we have seeded fields with it, graded roads with it and it is set up for a backhoe. Just need to find one in decent condition to drop on the back. I have been running this rig around on old worn out 37's to see if...

I used 1/8 inch plate for the fishplates. That is close to matching the thickness of the steel the frame was stamped from (its metric). I thought about going heavier but an automotive engineer friend of mine encouraged me not to do that because the fishplates would not flex the same as the...

Been a while but there has been progress. The wiring is complete and the glass, exhaust and seats are in. I have a little winch and radio wiring to do yet and I’m waiting on some paperwork from the state and I should be good to put it out on the roads and trails to figure out final tire size.

Dangernoodle, Thanks so much for digging this info out and then taking the time to post it. This is exactly what I was looking for and it dumbs it down so even I can understand! Thanks again!

Thanks for the response. I have the 21 circuit harness. Electrical wiring is not my strong suit but I will look at how they call out the GM way in the manual. I am hoping to use the toyota switches if at all possible but it may not be an option. Any help you might provide would be greatly...

I wish. I am struggling with the blinker/hazard wiring as well as the wiper and heater motor wiring. I put a painless harness in this build and I am having a hard time integrating the toyota electrical with a harness built for a ford or chevy. I think I have the heater and wipers figured out...

Tire carrier is in bed. The last couple of cruisers I did a swing out carrier but decided to go this way on this truck

Got the rear bumper fabricated and bolted in. Had the tow points water jet cut. Decided to put the round tail lights on as a nod to the original 45 tail lights.

Toyota 3B alternator indicator lamp question

Thanks for the reply! I should have noted that it’s internally regulated. Sounds like I can leave the L terminal blank?

Toyota 3B alternator indicator lamp question

I am about finished with a toyota 3B engine swap into my FJ45ish project and I have an alternator wiring question. The green plug on the alternator has a spade for an indicator bulb wire. Does anyone know if I need the indicator light and if so, whether I have to actually send that wire to a...

The connection to the roll cage is done. The tube gets a urethane bushing. There is a 3/8 ear on either side welded to a plate on the underside if the roll cage mount. Four total mounts for this cage.

Hard to say. A dedicated rock buggy is next on the project list. I think this truck will just run local trails and do some snow wheeling without too much potential for being on its top. My goal here was to make sure my daughter and I survive a rollover offroad if I misjudge a line and also...
