I just repaired mine today after discovering the leak in May. I know it hadn't been leaking before that because I was keeping a close eye on it knowing it's an issue. I drove on it for ~5 months and ~10k miles and it was getting way worse over the past few weeks. Not sure how much longer it was...

This write-up helped me greatly and if the OP is still around thanks a million!! Just finished the job following it step-by-step... including breaking the secondary air tube lol! Couldn't have done it without you.
